Based on the success of former International PhD Symposia in Civil Engineering in Budapest (1996, 1998), Vienna (2000), and Munich (2002), the 5th International PhD Symposium in Civil Engineering will be jointly organized by the Dutch Research School of Structural Engineering and fib in Delft, The Netherlands, on 16 - 19 June, 2004. 

The symposium serves as a forum for international discussion in Civil Engineering. PhD candidates have the opportunity to present their research to an international audience which includes experts in science and industry.
