To the PhD candidates
On site registration will start at 10:00h on Wednesday 16th June, 2004 at the Aula building of Delft University of Technology. 
At registration:
- you shall be handed out the detailed program of the Symposium.
- any outstanding fees should be cleared on site. No personal cheques or credit cards will be accepted.
- you must submit a CD-ROM with your PowerPoint presentation. Please write your name, session number and title of the presentation on the CD or CD box.
Personal notebooks will not be allowed for presentation purposes.
- you must submit the Lab tour registration form which is attached to your letter.

In preparing your presentation, please note that:
- 15 minutes will be available for the actual presentation and 5 minutes for a discussion. 
The session chairmen will be instructed to keep strictly to the time schedule.
- a computer and beamer will be available for the presentations. No other equipment will be provided.

The Technical Program of the Symposium consists of presentations of ongoing research projects from PhD candidates. 
In conjunction with this Technical Program a number of other activities are organized:
- awards will be granted for the 5 best papers/presentations of the Symposium during the award ceremony at 12:00h 
on Saturday 19th June, 2004 at the Civil Engineering building of TU Delft, lecture theatre E. 
The first prize is an award of 1000 Euros.
- before the award ceremony a tour through the laboratories of TU Delft will be organized.
- the Post-Symposium Intensive Course “Applied Tensor Analysis for Constitutive Modeling ” will be given in the week after 
the Symposium at the Civil Engineering building of TU Delft. Registration should be done before the 1st June, 2004.

 

 

Note to authors
All reviewed papers have been forwarded to the author. 
If you have not received your review by now, please contact the Secretariat immediately. 
April 1st 2004 is the absolute deadline for receiving the final revision of your paper.

Change of the date
Because of the large number of good abstracts, the Organising Committee has decided to extend the duration of the Symposium. The Symposium will start in the afternoon of Wednesday June 16 and finish Saturday noon June 19, 2004.
